CEREC Same-Day Crowns: How They Work and Why Patients Love Them
Traditional crowns take two visits, a temporary, and a lot of waiting. CEREC changes that.
Digital scan. We take a 3D scan of the prepared tooth — no goopy impressions.
Design in the room. Dr. Bianco designs your crown on-screen while you relax. Shape, contact, bite — all dialed in for your mouth.
Milled on-site. Our in-office milling unit carves your crown from a solid block of ceramic in about 15 minutes.
Bonded the same day. We try it in, polish, and bond it. You walk out with a permanent, tooth-colored crown — no temporary to babysit.
Same-day crowns are ideal for busy schedules, out-of-town visitors, and anyone who'd rather not repeat a numbing appointment two weeks later.
Frequently asked
Are CEREC crowns as strong as lab crowns?
Yes — modern CEREC ceramics equal or surpass traditional lab-made crowns for strength and fit.
Do same-day crowns cost more?
Usually not — there's no lab fee or second visit, so pricing is comparable to or better than traditional crowns.
